very beautiful town. My house is near
a river. There are a lot of trees in
my town. Some trees are very old. They
are about three hundred years old. We
have many flowers, too. They are beautiful
in the spring. I like my town very
much.

Akira: No, I didn't. I was sick and stayed at home yesterday, but I'm fine now.
Mary: I'm glad to hear that. Let's go to English club now.
Akira: All right, Mary.

Today is a happy day for Ken.
Ken
has his own room at last! Ken
and his
sister had a room together until yesterday.
There were two desks and two
chairs
in the room. It was too small
for them.
But now, Ken's sister has a new
room.
His room looks larger now.
Tomorrow is Ken's birthday.
He will have a birthday party at his
house. His parents will make a
special dinner for Ken and his friends. His
sister will give him the book he wanted for
his birthday. Ken must make his room
clean because he and his friends will listen
to music in his room after the party.
Now Ken is busy, but he is happy.
